QA Strategy & Test Management Setup

If your test cases live in spreadsheets, nobody can say which risks went untested and every release report is written by hand, we put a test strategy and a working test management setup in place in two weeks.

Who it is for

01

Teams growing without a QA lead

Your developers and testers ship every sprint, but nobody owns the overall approach. Each person tests in their own way, and coverage depends on who happens to be on the task.

02

Moving from spreadsheets to a tool

Test cases live in spreadsheets, documents and people's heads. You want them in a test management tool, linked to Jira, without losing what the team has already written.

03

Before an audit, certification or a major release

Soon someone will ask how the product was tested. You need a documented strategy, traceable results and a release report you can show, not reconstruct after the fact.

One fixed-scope package

Scope, duration and starting price are agreed up front. You know what you will receive before we start.

Why work with us

Risk first

We start from what would hurt your business if it broke, and set test priorities from there. The strategy tells your team what to test thoroughly, what to test lightly and what to leave out.

Tool-neutral choice

TestRail, Xray or Zephyr — we recommend the tool that fits your stack, your Jira setup and your budget. Our testers work in TestRail day to day, so we know where it shines and where another tool fits better.

Independent after hand-over

The strategy, the configured project and the templates belong to you. The workshop at the end prepares your team to run them without us.

What comes next

Once the strategy and the tool are in place, some teams run them on their own and others need extra hands. If you need testers or a QA lead to carry the strategy forward, we can provide them through staff augmentation — see our software testing services.

07 Frequently Asked Questions

Why TestRail and not Xray or Zephyr?

We do not assume TestRail. We choose the tool with you. TestRail is a standalone test management application that connects to Jira; Xray and Zephyr run inside Jira itself. Teams that live in Jira often prefer Xray or Zephyr, while teams that want a separate QA workspace or work with several trackers often choose TestRail. The decision depends on your stack, your Jira setup and your budget.

Who buys the tool licence?

You do, directly from the vendor. ARDURA does not sell licences and is not a vendor partner of TestRail, Xray or Zephyr. Your licence and your data stay in your name, and our recommendation is not tied to any commission.

We already use Zephyr or Xray. Is this still for us?

Yes. Many teams have the tool but not the structure: test cases without priorities, no link to risks and release reports written by hand. In that case we keep your tool, review how it is configured, organise the test repository around the new strategy and connect it properly to Jira and your CI pipeline.

Does the package include test automation?

No. The package includes recommendations on what to automate first and how automated results should flow into the test management tool. Building the automation itself is a separate engagement that we can scope once the strategy is in place.

How much of our team's time does it take?

We need a few short working sessions with the people who know the product and the release process: a kick-off, short interviews in the first days, a review of the draft strategy and the hand-over workshop at the end. We also need access to existing materials such as test cases, Jira and your CI pipeline. We do the configuration, migration and integration work ourselves.

How long does it take and what does it cost?

The package has a fixed scope, takes 2 weeks and starts from €3,700. We agree the exact price, which depends mainly on the number of test cases to migrate and the integrations needed, before we start, after a short scoping call. Once agreed, the scope and the price do not change.
